Let me tell you a little story….

I (innocent Jen) was asking an innocent and inquiring question about head size and shape.  I was asking in my nice and gentle manner (don’t be laughing), curious about how a head shaper thing shapes the head of a baby.  Jared takes the lead and tries to answer my question, BUT it’s not making sense to me because if the head is already flat, how does it fill in the rest of the area?  So Jared tries to explain again, but I continue to not understand…until Kelly points out that a baby’s head is still continuing to grow.  And then it clicks! THE HEAD GROWS INTO THE HELMET! BUT THEN WHEN I VERBALLY MADE THAT CONNECTION I GOT LAUGHED AT! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO REMEMBER THAT THE HEAD IS ALWAYS GROWING?!

(Jared— I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A GIVEN THAT IT KEPT GROWING).

SORRY MOORPARK IF I WASN’T EDUCATED THE SAME WAY!  Arcadia was the HOOD, we were just trying to stay alive.

I’m seeing a pattern..

so first off….a lot happened this weekend and it was super exciting! (thanks for all the encouragment!)

but..obviously the weekend is not worthy of mention in comparison to the trend I started to see at work..

let me begin..the day started normal — woke up, went to work, sat at work, ate at work, worked…and so on and so forth..WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN AN EPIPHANY HIT ME..

A while back, I noticed that Kel’s hair was getting kind of long and it reminded me of Jerry Seinfield’s hair..

circa 1990s.

now as anyone can see, this may not be a compliment (in my defense — i meant it as a harmless comment, but because i’m misunderstood at work, it came out horrible)…and soon enough he cut it and that was that.

Today at work, i noticed that jared’s hair was getting long (which was followed by the comment — “Jared. are you going to cut your hair soon?) Again — i meant it as a harmless comment, but of course it sounded mean.  But that’s besides the point.. GUESS WHO HE LOOKED LIKE?!

GUESS?! YES YOU ARE RIGHT! JERRY CIRCA 1990 AGAIN!

hard to tell. but trust me!

coincidence?! I think not.. i think it’s a pattern! …i wonder what Kim and Josh would look like..

water rings shall not defeat me!

after months of planning on making a weapon against water rings, the day has finally come where construction is complete!

here it is — COASTERS GALORE!

also…I made a meatloaf today that was the size of my thigh. I don’t think the world is ready for that picture yet.

SOOO….I have concluded that I am passionate about food, baking, and all things to do with my stomach =)  Therefore, I am going to start posting recipes and baking experiences every once in a while! Yes…I am becoming one of THOSE bloggers =)

Let’s be reasonable here…

so after Mandy’s Monstrous Birthday Bash….

we decide to take some photos to commemorate this event =)  And in honor of the specialness of this day, we decide to take a special picture and agree on me giving mandy a piggyback while she is giving cindy a piggyback (no need to imagine a visualization..scroll down a bit)..so thinking about this, what part of the picture is significant to show?  would we just want a picture of our faces? NO, BECAUSE THAT DOESN’T SHOW THAT WE ARE CARRYING EACH OTHER! THE LEGS ARE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT PART! THEY HAVE TO BE SEEN SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW THAT NO PROPS WERE USED TO CREATE THIS PICTURE! IT’S NOT AN ILLUSION, IT’S REALITY.

But for some reason..our dear photographer (Sean Ohira) did not understand this concept…resulting in 3o minutes of non-refundable time, and a day of back pain for something that should have only taken 5 minutes.  but…I won’t lie..IT WAS STILL A GREAT TIME!
